Europe by Eurail
The year 2009 saw the 50th anniversary of the Eurail Group G.I.E., in which the European railway companies have combined their forces and introduced the Eurail Pass. The book Europe by Eurail was commissioned to celebrate this anniversary. For this publication, Hans Bouman and photographer Martin Kers travelled extensively through 25 different countries, in order to capture the spirit of European rail travel.
Harnaschpolder
The First Public Private Partnership in the Dutch Water Board Sector
This book was commissioned by Delfluent, a consortium of five private companies (Veolia, Evides, Rabobank, Strukton and Heijmans). It describes – in words as well as sumptuous photography (by Martin Kers) – the realisation of the new water treatment plant at Harnaschpolder, which is the result of the first public private partnership in the Dutch water board sector. Published in 2007, the book is bilingual (Dutch/English).
